Fast Hands, Net Skills, and Visible Progress on a Beautiful Evening
On the evening of March 20, our adult group class took on a dynamic and high-energy session focused entirely on one of the most exciting — and often overlooked — shots in tennis: the volley.
Set under clear skies and great vibes, the session was designed to improve reaction time, net positioning, and hand-eye coordination. From soft touch volleys to punch volleys and transition footwork, players were guided through a series of progressive drills and live-ball games that made the learning both technical and fun.
🎯 What we worked on:
Proper ready stance and split step timing
Forehand and backhand volley technique
Reflex training with rapid-fire feeds
Point play scenarios involving approach shots and net closure
The energy on court was fantastic, and it was inspiring to see so many students step outside their comfort zones and grow. Many players shared that this was their first time dedicating a full session to volley work — and the results were immediate. By the end of class, volleys were cleaner, reactions quicker, and confidence higher.
💬 “I used to avoid the net… now I feel ready to attack it!” – Adult class participant
This session was a great reminder that tennis isn’t just about baseline rallies — the net game adds another layer of creativity, control, and fun. Well done to everyone who came out and gave their all!
